SHIPPING & SHIPPING COSTS 

Some of the products we offer include shipping. All of the products we offer are shipped directly to you from the manufacturer. Shipping is generally defined as shipped from the manufacturer to the purchasers loading dock. If you are a business or an individual, there is a very good chance that your requirements will include delivery to a residence or a business. Many of the products we offer weigh over 100 pounds. Many of our customers require that their purchase be brought inside their business or residence. Freight rates are based upon where the products are shipped from, where they are going and the requirements of the customer. Many of the products we offer can be shipped from the manufacturers’ regional distribution point, which decreases the cost of shipping to you. In some rare circumstances, the unit cost might be slightly higher, but you save greatly in shipping costs. Of course, any products that can ship via Fed Ex Ground or UPS Ground will be shipped that way.

A final thought about shipping…..Due to the vast amount of business we do with the shipping industry, we are able to obtain huge discounts from the freight companies. It is our policy to obtain the very best pricing for our customers and pass that savings onto you. Since each customer has a different shipping requirement, please ask us for a freight quote. You will be asked to approve shipping costs before your order is processed. 

Upon receipt of your order, we will inform you of the expected time for your order to ship. Normally, orders ship within 3 – 14 days, depending on the products you purchase . If the expected shipment time is greater than 14 days, we will inform you of this prior to your order being processed. 

As soon as your order is shipped, we will notify you that your order has shipped and provide you with tracking details to allow you to track your shipment(s). 

Additional Freight Charges

It is rare that a customer will make a determination that they desire additional services provided by the freight carriers (inside delivery, use of a lift gate truck upon delivery or storage. We can not and will not be responsible for added freight charges. If you are planning on going on vacation, please inform us so that your order can ship within your schedule.

You must contact us in advance for approval of these charges. If you do not contact us in advance, and added freight charges are incurred, we will charge your credit card. In cases where storage is incurred, and you fail to agree to those charge, your order will be returned to the manufacturer. You will receive a credit on your purchase less the ROUND TRIP freight charges, a 30% restocking fee on the entire order price and any storage charges already incurred. Please contact us for additional information should you have any questions.

FORMS OF PAYMENT 

We gladly accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Personal Check and Debit Cards. If you are a school district or governmental office, we will process your order with your purchase order and invoice you at the time of shipment. Orders placed with personal checks must be allowed 5 business days from deposit to clear our bank prior to shipping. All orders placed from outside of the United States must be paid in advance by check with time to clear our bank prior to shipping. To contain the risk of credit card fraud, we are unable to accept credit card transactions from outside of the United States.  

Your purchase will appear on your credit card statement under the name of our parent company Educators Furniture, Inc. 

Access to your credit card information is restricted to only those who process your order. Please note that in many cases, we will ask that you fax in your order to us. This is to have a signature for the credit card company. It is to protect you and us. We work very closely with the credit card companies to contain the levels of fraud committed on the internet. We are always happy to discuss any concerns you might have regarding this.   

WARRANTY INFORMATION 

Each manufacturer has their own warranty related to their products. Please visit the manufacturers’ website or ask us for their contact information so that you can obtain warranty information related to their products. 

DAMAGE AND RETURNS 

In the rare circumstances that damage in transit occurs to your order, we ask that you contact us at the time of delivery, while the delivery person is still with you. It is the responsibility of the customer to notate any damages on the delivery receipt of the freight company at the time of delivery. This will allow us to file any claims, if required with the freight carrier. If the damage is to the carton and you believe that the product is protected inside the carton, please notate that the carton is damaged (eg. Torn carton, crushed corners or scratched cartons). It is always better to over notate damage than under notate on the delivery receipt. If the carrier refuses to allow you to make notations on the delivery receipt, please call us (or in our absence the delivery company) and report the situation while the driver is still with you. If the product appears damaged, please refuse the delivery and notate the damage on the delivery receipt. Please fax us a copy of your delivery receipt so we might resolve any issues you might have related to damage. 

All returns require a written R.M.A. (Return Manufacturers Authorization) from the manufacturer. Normally, returns require that the product be in their original cartons, in resalable condition when received by the manufacturer. We must be informed of your intent to return within 5 days of receipt of your purchase. There is a 30% restocking fee for all returns. The customer must pay for the return freight to the manufacturer. We will work very closely in the rare circumstance that you need to return your purchase, but the customer must generally arrange for the return of the purchase after we have obtained the R.M.A from the manufacturer. Upon receipt of the credit from the manufacturer, we will issue your credit (less restocking fees and return freight fees) to the same credit card your purchase was charged to. If you paid by check, we will promptly issue you a check (less restocking fees and return freight fees).
